Han Solo in Carbonite – Full-Scale Custom Prop

This full-size Han Solo in Carbonite display was designed and built by Craig Tinder. Constructed on a custom trapezoidal wood base, the piece features resin-cast side panels molded from hand-built models and reinforced with fiberglass. The illuminated “hero” panel is powered by custom-wired electronics to replicate the on-screen effect. Mounted via a standard TV wall bracket and enhanced with integrated LED backlighting, the prop is now part of the permanent collection at the Life Size Prop Shop in Illinois.
