Death Star-Inspired Wall Panels – Immersive Set Design

To create a cinematic, immersive environment, Craig Tinder designed and fabricated lighted wall panels inspired by the Death Star. The space was first modeled in Google SketchUp, with panel designs illustrated in LightBurn and laser-cut from large-format materials. A plastic diffusion layer was added to each panel, backed by an LED array with adjustable RGB lighting to shift color and mood. The result is a dynamic, theme-inspired set element with controllable lighting adjustments made easy.
